Sheila Guenther

Sheila Guenther has been involved with the United Way since 2001, first taking care of the finances, then joining the Board of Directors, including a term as President in 2011. She stepped down from the Board in 2013, but continued to be involved as a committee member and volunteer. In 2018, Sheila began her current role as Executive Director, with a focus on building relationships with the Board of Directors, Member Agencies, our donors, and our community. In addition to her involvement with United Way Estevan, Sheila is a board member with the Saskatchewan Games Council and South East Sport, Culture and Recreation District, and an official with Swimming Canada and World Para Swimming. As you can see, Sheila loves to help out others by getting involved and getting things done.

Heidi Hesselink

Heidi joined United Way Estevan as Executive Director in 2021. After growing up, volunteering, and teaching in the community of Estevan for many years, she jumped at the opportunity to continue to serve her community through the United Way. She is passionate about seeing the people of Estevan grow and thrive. In addition to her work with the United Way, you may also find her sharing her love of yoga in the community, currently through OM Yoga Studio, working in her yard, walking, birding, or spending time with friends and family. She's very excited to be working with this amazing group of directors, volunteers, and community members.

Finance Director

Kent Pachal

Kent is semi -retired having worked for an oilfield services company for 25 years. He has a BComm. from U of S, with majors in accounting and computer science.  Kent started working for United Way Estevan as Finance Director in September 2019. His focus is to help the Board achieve their goals and to ensure the member agencies receive the funds they need. He loves being a part of each and every Telethon. Kent is involved in coaching and reffing youth hockey, and with golf and volunteers his time to the junior golf program.
