United Way Estevan’s mission to positively impact the quality of life in our community.
Our vision is for everyone in our community to have the opportunity to reach their full potential.
Demonstrate integrity, respect, and transparency
Encourage and inspire volunteerism, service, and leadership
Commit to inclusivity, innovation, partnerships, and collective action
Our work focuses on three key strategies that create opportunities for everyone in our community to live a better life:
United Way Estevan invests in building community capacity and supporting vital programs and services that help people live vibrant and resilient lives.
Since 1976, United Way Estevan has raised money for community programming. We support and encourage volunteering and strengthen our community through important social causes.
Every year in mid-October during our Annual Telethon and with the help of Access Now, board members, volunteers and community members pull together to successfully reach our goal. We are proud to say that for most of these years, we have been the first in Canada to reach our goal. We are also one of the top 10 in Canada for money raised on a per-capita basis with one of the lowest costs to operate. We attribute this to generous and hardworking people of our community.
We held our first Day of Caring in 2011. Our annual Day of Caring is a full day dedicated to helping those in need, doing everything from washing windows to painting fences and yard work. It’s a way for volunteers in our community to show that they really do care!
Our volunteer Board of Directors has over 20 members, many of whom have been a part of United Way for decades. The board, alongside our Executive Director work year-round to support our community, raise money, and give back. Our success is your success.

All of the money raised goes to benefit local people, though some of the services offered are not in Estevan. As an example, one of our member agencies is the Saskatchewan Abilities Council. The money allocated to them is for children from Estevan and area who experiencing complex physical and intellectual needs so that they may attend Camp Easter Seal. Other agencies provide services right here in Estevan.
